Rev. Joshua Johnson

Seminary and Christ's United Methodist Churches both received a new pastor appointed by Bishop Trimble in July 2017. Rev. Joshua Johnson is now serving both congregations while he and his family are unpacking and settling into the community. 

      Johnson has his undergraduate degrees from Indiana University and a Master of Arts in Ministry from Wesley Seminary. Johnson began youth ministry as church staff and with Youth For Christ in 1995 at age 19 and began serving as the pastor of a church in 2001. He grew up in Southe Bend and has served churches in Indiana and Iowa. Johnson describes his lifes mission as to "Reach, Love & Serve the Least, Last & Lost for Jesus." His four children range fron age 3 to 14. 
       The two churches are four houses apart in Roanoke. Sunday morning schedule:
       8:30AM --Christ's UMC Coffee & Donuts
       9 AM -- Christ's UMC Sunday Worship with Children's Church
       9:15 AM -- Seminary UMC Adult Sunday School
       10:15 AM -- Seminary UMC Sunday Worship Service
        11:15 AM -- Seminary UMC Coffee Hour
      Christ's UMC is best known in the area for its child care ministry which has been serving the community for 40+ years. Alicia Burns is the Director. SEMINARY UMC worships in what was the original chapel building of Manchester University before it moved to North Manchester and changed names. Seminary UMC has a wide range of ministries serving the community including a large aftet-school kids club, food pantry, Crafty Corner a sweing group, VBS, Bible study, UMW, Country Store, grief care and support among others.

As the secretary for the church I assist with running bulletins, sorting mail, updating the website, and other odds and ends as needed.
