In 2008, an idea was born to start a "Resale Shop" in the Church Basement. We were allowed a small space in the NE Corner and setup shop. We named the shop the Seminary Country Store.
We Were amazed how well it was recieved by church members and the public. We soon realized we were outgrowing the space. Later we were able to move to an unused room on the main floor where the store is now located, but was only able to use half of the room. Recently we have been able to use the entire room which we are able to utilize.
The store is open whenever the Church is open. Also we are open on days that Roanoke observes special occasions, such as Christmas In the Village, Fall Festival, and Springtime In the Village.
We accept clean usable items for resale as follows:
- Household items
- Childrens Toys
- Small pieces of Furniture
- NEW Clothing with tags only!
We have grown by leaps and bounds and have had great sales, thanks to those who have donated and or purchased items.
The money recieved from our sales have been used for repairs and needs within our building.
A couple of examples are as follows:
- Stained Glass Window Repair
- New Roof
As we accumulate items that do not sell, we have donated to our Mission sponsored garage sale, Habitat for Humanity, Salvation Army, Goodwill and Catholic Chariities.
